CPR/BLS and AED for Healthcare Professionals - £50
CPR/BLS and AED for Healthcare Professionals course is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding in the provision of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and of the safe use and management of an Automated External Defibrillator.
This qualification offers the trained provider the opportunity to provide effective emergency lifesaving first aid care using an AED. This is achieved through the understanding of the BLS/AED algorithm and the responsibilities and treatment principles of AED use.
This course covers Basic Life Support skills and includes skills for Adult, Child and Infant as well as healthcare variations on infant CPR. The course includes: Safety, precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression only CPR, CPR handover and choking.
This is ideal for nurses, care workers or medical professionals needing annual updates to complete professional membership.
AED training is also included in the course. Learning AED skills is becoming more important with the increase in the numbers of units in the community and workplace. They are easy to use with a little training and make a real difference in the chance of survival to someone in cardiac arrest.
All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement.

This regulated qualification is intended principally for those who work in a supervisory or managerial role. Individuals gaining this qualification will gain a wide range of knowledge of health and safety law, the hazards present in a workplace and how to implement effective and necessary controls.
By employing an individual with this qualification, businesses can demonstrate their legal requirement to engage a 'competent person' by having staff trained to this level.
This Ofqual approved qualification has been developed specifically for insertion into the Qualifications and Credit Framework with full support from Pro skills. It is therefore fully relevant to industry and regulatory standards as well as being recognised by the Health and Safety Executive, independent auditors and enforcement officers.
The classroom course is 30 hours and has a minimum age requirement of 16.

Achievement of this accredited qualification will enable learners to work safely and to recognise and deal with hazards in the workplace. The aim of the qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace. This includes the hazards and risks along with the relevant legislation and ensures awareness of cost-effective, practical control methods.
This Ofqual approved qualification has been developed specifically for insertion into the Regulated Qualifications Framework with full support from Pro skills. It is therefore fully compliant with industry and regulatory standards as well as being recognized by the Health and Safety Executive, auditors and other enforcement officers.
The classroom course is 8 hours and has a minimum age requirement of 16.
