CPR/BLS and AED for Healthcare Professionals - £50
CPR/BLS and AED for Healthcare Professionals course is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding in the provision of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and of the safe use and management of an Automated External Defibrillator.

This qualification offers the trained provider the opportunity to provide effective emergency lifesaving first aid care using an AED. This is achieved through the understanding of the BLS/AED algorithm and the responsibilities and treatment principles of AED use.
This course covers Basic Life Support skills and includes skills for Adult, Child and Infant as well as healthcare variations on infant CPR. The course includes: Safety, precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression only CPR, CPR handover and choking.

This is ideal for nurses, care workers or medical professionals needing annual updates to complete professional membership.
​
AED training is also included in the course. Learning AED skills is becoming more important with the increase in the numbers of units in the community and workplace. They are easy to use with a little training and make a real difference in the chance of survival to someone in cardiac arrest.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.

Activity First Aid
The Activity First Aid Level 2 qualification, is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding of first aid to provide appropriate care and manage life threatening conditions, illness and injuries sustained in an activity environment.
This is achieved through the understanding of the general duties, responsibilities and treatment principles of first aid.
This course is taught over two days with a minimum contact time of 12 hours as a class course or blended.
All courses meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2003 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes.

Sports First Aid
This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in sports first aid. The certificate is valid for 3 years and a recommended annual refresher can be done online.

This course covers basic first aid and is aimed at people who need first aid who work in various sports sectors. It not only covers basic first aid but also all the specific problems that arise in sports.
​
Primary and secondary subjects are covered, including soft tissue injuries, head injuries, types of cuts, and many illnesses that could arise.

Outdoor Pursuits First Aid
Outdoor Pursuits First Aid where you do not need the 16 hour course. It covers primary and secondary care where the EMS are not easily accessible.
This is a fun and practical course which is delivered over a one day course with a minimum of 8 hour contact period.

Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid
Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid to meet the requirements laid down by many outdoor pursuits as it covers primary and secondary care and adapted to the outdoor world where the emergency services may be harder to access.
Delivered over a 2 day period with a minimum of 16 hours contact time.
We also offer a shorter course if that is all you require or other specific workplace courses.

Equestrian First Aid at Work Level 3 (FAW)
Equestrian First Aid at Work for Riders course is aimed at human first aid for anyone involved with horses where the First Aid at Work qualification is needed in addition to specific injuries involved when working with horses and a course tailored to equestrian subjects.
​
If you are involved in teaching riding or other activities you are required to have the BHS first aid qualification or the HSE First Aid at Work qualification.
​
With this course we go one better and adapt a course that includes the approved FAW with extra subjects and apply the course the the equestrian world.
​
Also included to comply with the latest HSE and ERC guidelines, are Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings.
​
All courses meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2003 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes.

This course must be at least 20 contact hours and run over a minimum of 3 day and the certificate is valid for 3 years.
​
To renew you need to attend a 12 contact hour 2 day FAW requalification course.
​
We also offer a basic one day course for those who do not need the qualification for teaching or professional reasons called Basic Equestrian First Aid.

Basic Equestrian First Aid
This one day course is aimed at any horse rider to learn basic first aid skills to keep them safe. Horse riding can present different dangers and the course covers most injuries and illnesses that you are likely to come across.
This course is delivered over one day with a minimum 7 hour contact period.
We also have a 3 day Equestrian First Aid at Work (HSE compliant) for those who need a higher qualification to meet the British Horse Society (BHS) requirements.
